Strömungsmessgeräte ermitteln Volumen, Geschwindigkeit oder die Gesamtmenge der in einem bestimmten Zeitraum durch ein Rohr geströmten Substanz. Aufgrund ihrer Temperatur- und Chemikalienbeständigkeit eignen sich die Geräte für viele verschiedene Flüssigkeiten und Gase, um eine angemessene Strömungsintensität in den Schläuchen eines Versuchsaufbaus zu gewährleisten. Flügelrad-Strömungsanzeiger oder Schwebekörper-Durchflussmesser lassen die Messung aufgrund der transparenten Bauweise auf einfache Weise erkennen bzw. ablesen, während automatische Strömungsmesser die Ergebnisse unmittelbar auf einem Digitaldisplay anzeigen.
