Ionenstärkepuffer
Pufferlösungen zur Einstellung der Gesamtionenstärke (TISAB) erhöhen die Ionenstärke einer Lösung auf ein relativ hohes Niveau. Dies ist wichtig für potentiometrische Messungen, insbesondere mit ionenselektiven Elektroden, da diese die Aktivität des Analyten und nicht dessen Konzentration messen. TISAB werden häufig zur Fluoridionenanalyse, beispielsweise mit fluoridselektiven Elektroden, eingesetzt. Jeder Bestandteil von TISAB trägt wesentlich zur Kontrolle der Ionenstärke und des pH-Werts der Analytlösung bei.
